Karin Grandon is currently serving in the role of Ombudsman for the Arizona Schools for the Deaf and Blind as well as representing the nationally grant funded Youth Technical Assistance Center (YTAC) at the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) in Washington, D.C., as a state Technical Assistance Liaison.
She worked for the Arizona Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) as Deputy Administrator and administered programs for individuals with sensory loss. During her tenure at the Arizona RSA, Grandon served as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and various supervisory and executive leadership roles.
Grandon has an M.A. in Special Education and Rehabilitation from the University of Arizona, all but her dissertation in Rehabilitation Counseling through the UofA, and a certificate in Rehabilitation Administration from San Diego State University.
